Usage/Frequency: Can be performed every 2-4 weeks.
Recovery time: No downtime. (Downtime is referring to visible exfoliation (peeling), redness, or dryness of the skin, a side effect of a chemical peel, and must be considered if a patient has any events or commitments in the immediate future after receiving a chemical peel. Different types of peels have a range of no downtime to extended downtime. Some patients do not experience any downtime, which is ok and doesn’t mean the peel isn’t working.)
Anticipated reactions and other considerations: Minimal discomfort
Contraindications: Active herpes simplex or warts in the area to be treated, wounded or sunburned skin in the area to be treated, dermatitis, and women who are currently pregnant or lactating.
